“Speakers do not work with cable channels”

Biggest problem with this home theatre is that all 5 speakers won't work at the same time when you use it with your cable channels. It requires some specific type of audio signals. “basic home theater”

Wanted to add some punch to the new TV and for the price this is a decent choice. As many of the reviews I read before purchasing stated, there are not enough connections (only 1 audio in) but its all I needed so its ok. More complex setups would need more features but for a basic system it sounds great and is easy to install.

“Sony Home Theater”

I was able to install this and my new 40" LCD TV with one phone call for help. It is a nice compliment at a low price for those looking to make a modest improvement to their home theater. Sound is great, DVD and CD play is very good.

“NEEDS MORE BASS”

FOR THE MONEY AND PRETTY EASY INSTALLATION ITS A NO BRAINER. THE BASS IS GOOD ON DVD MODE BUT NOT SO MUCH ON REGULAR CHANNELS. SEEMS IT SHOULD BE LOUDER FOR 1000 WATTS. YOU NEED ONE OF THESE SYSTEMS FOR A FLAT PANEL TV IF YOU WANT ANY KIND OF QUALITY SOUND. THE STOCK SPEAKERS IN MY SAMSUNG SOUND HORRIBLE. GO AHEAD AND SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON THIS, IT'S WORTH IT!

“Very Satisfied”

This is my second theater system, my old one went in my bedroom and this new one in my family room and it has an excellant sound I love it. I did not mind paying extra for the HDMI cable it was well worth it to hear how great all the action movies sound. I love the fact that I was able to put the extra control system in my kitchen so I could hear and see the movies from the kitchen and family room. Too cool

“Good for the money”

I read up on systems in this price range for about a month.This one had what i was looking for (upconversion for dvd's and an optical input for surround sound while watching TV).I have a small living room and this does the job pretty well.The sound is good and clear ,and the bass is punchy!! For the money I don't think you will be dissapointed.

“good sound but !!!”

Good system for the money,it has a really good bass,and sound.The picture is pretty good if you use the hdmi output. you can tweak the speakers to make them sound all ,at once . The bad : not too easy to follow the manual it has too many ways to tweak it that I 'm still reading it , needs an extra optical.still I was hoping for a louder sound (but I guess no man is ever happy). So far so good,-you wil need optical,and hdmi cables ( another easy $50.00 bucks ) s-air ? I don't care for it so that's that. Would I buy it if I had the chance againg,sure!
