Anyways, the machine feels like plastic, but is to me my very own computer. It is NOT another game system. I did use Wi-Fi, and got me connected online.
It has been a while since I played a button-configuring game, so it was a little hard to configure the buttons. Because I played NBA 2K8, it was a bit too real of "making the shot", because some button-configuring that mimicks the Wii.
Maybe if I rented a game I could master, it'll do the job.
But why did I buy this?

Kicking out a 5-star to counter the 1-star review by another user...this unit doesn't have PS2 backward compatability, but it DOES have PS1 backward-compatability. Every PS3, including this model, does PS1 games.
Compared to the 80 GB version, the 40 GB lacks flash card slots (easily fixed by USB flash card adapters), 2 USB ports instead of 4, no PS2 compatability and a 40 GB hard drive. But considering you can't find an 80 GB PS3 at the moment, its a great unit.
I just bought this model for my kids since they love my 60 gb model. This unit is great for them they don't care about backwards compatibility or the card reader slots being omitted. They just want to play the new games. I love my 60gb it does so much works great networked to my computer with nero home media. i can view all my pics music and even stream my family movies to the tv. I would highly recommended the ps3 to anyone looking for that new next gen console.
