Got this as a surprise gift last holiday season, and I use it for just about everything!

Definitely worth getting, especially if you're going to use it for more than juts gaming.

We bought the ps3 not becuase we needed a gaming machine. We already had a ps2. We figured that if we were going to spend money on a blue ray player, we might as well get something that did more than just play blue rays. Boy were we surprised. The picture quality of blue ray is unimaginable. We were blown away. The surprise was the online feature. Our daughter had just moved to Florida and we missed her terribly. We bought a camera and now we can talk and see (!) her to her any time we want, We were able to be there for her birthday party and all have dinner together and open birthday...

impressive product

I am not a gamer but then i purchased PS3 because of its features including the large 120GB HDD and its networking capabilities. This allows me to watch all the videos , photos and multimedia files , on a big 56" TV screen, irrespective of the fact that it is there on the desktop computer or laptops. The product is cool but only problem is availability. I searched arround so many retails stores before locating this one in sears. I ordered it at the sears online store. When the product arrived and i opened it, i was little disappointmed , it seems like it was used and resold online. Other...

Fantastic!

This system is unbelievable! Purchased recently after much thought between this and the x-box systems. The PS3 is extremely quiet, the slim console is a plus as it takes less room and the all around gaming is great. Add the blu ray to the mix and you've got yourself a fantastic system for the money, I may never leave my house again!

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT PS3 FOR A WHILE, AND WAS ABOUT TO BUT THE 80GB THAT WAS ORIGINALLY PRICED AT $399!BUT WHEN I SAW THIS DEAL I KNEW I HAVE TO GET IT PLUS IT HAS A **** LOAD MORE OF HARD DRIVE. AND IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT GETTING A 360 THEN DON'T BECAUSE IT WILL SAVE U A-LOT OF MONEY IF U PLAY ONLINE. AND WITH THAT MONKEY YOU COULD GET NEW PS3 PLATFORMS!

clear pictures, good sound. Controls are relatively easy. No lag. Quick loading.

Great game system!

This is the best system I've had. I play mostly sports games and think the graphics and controller are the best on the market for that. I've played 360 quite a bit and don't think he even compares to what ps3 brings to the table. Blu Ray is a definite plus too. Online gaming is easy PSN being free is a great feature!!

Definitely needs to be out in the open so the fans don't burn out (learned that the hard way), so don't plan on keeping it in a cabinet, or buy the add on cooling fan.

A must have period

Very sweet gaming/movie machine for the value of all in one.The graphics are insane, nice size hard drive to hold all your infomation. Most games got trophies which gives more replay value to your games after you beat them to collect all the trophies.makes a great blue ray player if you don't already have one. There is a game or movie to play on this machine.Very reliable, free online play, wireless controls,no need for memory card everything saved on hard drive.Best part of it all FREE online network to play with thousands anywhere.Playstation Home is alot of fun to play on and meet people from all...

The PS3 really does everything you want it to do. Share videos, music, browse the web, rent movies, buy movies, try demos of games via PS Network, update current games, and best of play the most imersive games ever made in a 1080P hi-rez.

MUST HAVE!

Smaller, lighter, thinner, more efficient. What's not to love about the PS3 Slim!? It uses half the power compared to the original 60 GB launch model and is about 4 pounds lighter as well. But that price...$299 for a next-gen video game console AND a Blu-ray player? I'm sold!

Great Bang for the Buck!

The PS3 has been great since day one. It has provided many many hours of entertainment. What most people dont realize is that it is actually a really powerful computer and it has 7 processors- my PC has 2. With the recent release of the Netflix streaming capabilites- along with the new Hulu services, the PS3 is going to be hard to beat. We hardly watch TV anymore so we've cancelled cable and the PS3 has been more than adequate.

-BluRay

-Internet

-Gaming/ Online Gaming w/ the free PS-Network

-Netflix Streaming

-Media Streaming when networked to home PC

-Photo Album/ Slide show capabilites

Really,...

The good: More affordable $299 price; slimmer, more compact design with quieter operation; all games in high-definition; easy-to-use interface; doubles as a Blu-ray and upscaling DVD player; built-in Wi-Fi; 120GB hard drive; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; built-in Web browser; free online gaming service.

The bad: Lacks backward support for PS2 games; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; online gaming, media, and commerce options still aren't as fully developed as Xbox Live, though they're getting better.

The bottom line: With a smaller...

Awesome

Awesome console, stunning graphics, and I love the idea of playing online without having to buy stupid cards (Sorry XBox 360).

It's a shame Sony didn't include the PS2 games platform on the PS3. Still I love my PS3.

best console no doubt

Get the slim not the elite. they are both $299 and have 120gb but the slim is way better and worth the money and the xbox has so many hidden fees.
