my friends all have one so I went to the store and saw the best price for it.
I recently purchased the playstation 2 game for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Him and his friends spend hours playing it everyday. I would strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys video games because it is the perfect game for all ages. My son also enjoys playing the game with his father so it allows them to spend time together. Sometimes I even play with my boyfriend for hours at a time. This console has given me hours upon hours of non-stop action. It has taken 4 years or so until I even had to clean the system of dust from the DVD reader.
I would recommend this to anybody who doesn't have one and can't afford a PS3.

ITS REALLY FUN
The size of the unit fooled me into thinking the format was not as good as the original. The unit heats up a lot sooner which with serious gamers could cause some problems.
We have had this game console for a very long time and never had a problem other than the a/v cord will get loose sometimes. I would recommend buying the remote (which is separate) if you intend on using it as a dvd player - trying to use the controller to navigate through a DVD is a PITA!!

This is a great system with a large selection of games from which to choose. Even 7 years after its release developers continue to push this machine to the edge.
Hello this is Jon. I'm a twenty year old man and I have this very gaming system. I love playing my playstation 2 and would like to recommend it to all who read this review. The price is excellent for what you get especially with this newer slim version. The actual system is so small and lightweight that it could fit anywhere but don't let that fool you it packs a gaming punch. I myself love the madden titles but you can get all types of games for this system many at a very reasonable price. I know what your thinking why not buy the ps3. I recently bought the PS2 and am completely satisfied with the game console without spending a fortune for it. I like that it is small enough to put anywhere and the ease of traveling with it. I also like the fact that you can play DVD's with it. I have also purchased the Guitar Hero II accesory package and enjoy every minute of it. Thanks.
I was probably the last person on earth to get this gaming console, lol, but I have loved it since the day I have gotten it. I received a Sears Gift card this last christmas and this was my first choice to spend it on and I am really glad that I did. The graphics and gameplay are awesome and I like the fact that it is so slim and compact because it literally fits almost anywhere you want to place it. I have had my playstaion since the day that it had come onto the gaming scene. It has given me countless hours of enjoyment. I would recommend this to anyone. If you are lookig at getting any system you must make sure that you know how to take care of it. If your kids are throwing it around all the time it will most likely not last for too long of a time because of so. I would have to agree that Nintendo makes the longest lasting systems though, but i like the playstations games more. :). A+
PS2 from sears and games were both excellent. They arrived on time, were in new condition and has brought hours of fun to the family.
