“Compact and easy to use.”

I have this at work and love it so when I needed to get something for my mother to play her CD's and cassettes on I chose this.  The sound is good for the size, the buttons make it very easy to use, and the compact size fits almost anywhere.  She likes it much better than her old one which was bigger...

“Marginal”

For the price that I paid and with the Sony name I thought that I would get a better sounding product... I ended up adding my computer external speakers to make it sound better. Other than that all the functions work as intended and I have no other complaints.

“Get this, you will be pleased”

Until we purchased this radio, my wife and I were listening to the radio on our computer.  The sound quality is the same.

“Pleasantly Surprised!”

I can't believe I received this high quality unit by Sony at such a fair price!  To me, the sound is great and the product suits my needs, exactly. Even the radio plays well (no static).  Has easy to use features (including programmability) and it's good-looking, too.  I love everything about it.

“Solid Sound”

I bought this for my sister. I took it over to her house and set it up. This was very impressive! Has a great sound for a product this size. The CD player sounds great and the radio sounded remarkably good. The area where she lives is usually not very good for radio reception We were able to tune in all the area ststions with no problem. Good product at a good price.

“SONY S-01 Boombox”

Digital Tuner with Cassette & CD. Nice sound good cassette. Fine CD performance. I got at SEARS at SEARS price! No remote But no big deal. If my radio ever fails, I'd buy me a replacement in a heart beat! Its one exceptional portable radio for your money. COOL DUDES! Controls are nice for a portable in this size.

“Buy it”

I read the one review that it stood up to kids and thought, "okay, that should last" and bought it. I have a 2-yr-old and he was grabbing it as I opened it on a chair. It slipped and banged to the floor! I thought it was done for, but I went ahead and plugged it in and it worked fine! The short fall did not seem to hurt it at all. Although I don't recommend dropping any appliance, I was very impressed that it was sturdy enough to survive "normal life". We have it in our kitchen. “Small price for a big Performer!”

I live a great distance from two metropolitan cities! So to pick up their stations, I usually pay betwwen $100 to $300 for a quality portable radio! This radio picks up my favorite stations with great sound and holding power! You want to talk about bang for your buck! Very satisfied so far!

“Works great, lightweight, sounds excellent”

This radio is very light (without batteries) but provides excellent sound. I really appreciate being able to play cassettes and CDs. The radio is able to bring in even weak stations very clearly. Excellent purchase.

“Does NOT play MP-3's!”

Got this boombox primarily because I needed something that would play MP-3's and the description clearly indicated this unit would do this.  When I got the unit home, I immediately tried the MP-3 I had and it would not play!  Tried a regular CD and it played perfectly.  Re-tested twice with same result.  Am going to return this.

“Love it!”

I bought this last night after bringing back a GPX system I had bought the day before. This is a vast improvement to say the least. Built in Bass boost, enough volume to play my guitar to, and outstanding tone. My CD's sound great on this system. I'm a musician who uses CD backing tracks to play my guitar to, and this does the job. You can't go wrong with Sony as far as I'm concerned.

“Good product”

Purchased two of these boom boxes for my kids. They have been able to peform as expected. Light weight and well worth the price I paid for it.
