When I moved out of my parent's house my car insurance rate went up a lot more than I expected. I called to see if I can negotiate a lower rate and they wouldn't budge...so they lost me as a 10yr+ customer. Don't know if it's like that company wide or if it was just my particular agent. The actual service while I had it was decent though; I was just simply turned off with the curt responses of my agent when I told him the new insurance rate was really above my budget. Why would they want to lose a customer and have that customer share a negative opinion? Keeping customers happy should be a number one priority and if you aren't willing to budge at all, I'm more than willing to shop around.
