daughter. She was 10 lbs when I purchased the swing and "Yes" the swing needed alittle push to get started but I'm pretty sure they all need alittle push. Make sure the safety bars are unlocked before you push the "ON" button.This is a great little gift...

I am not happy with the turn out of this swing. I purchased it in October 2008 for my baby shower and used it only a few times. Now it doens't swing anymore. I had to call the manufacturer to get another one so my daughter has no chair at all now. I have to wait untill the other one comes and send this...

We only kept this swing for a few days. I wanted a swing so badly for my little girl when she was born and my mom got us this one since I thought it looked adorable. The only problem was that my daughters head flipped forward and it didn't seem to work well enough even for a travel swing. But it sure was cute!
My granddaughter loved it. It was such a wonderful pacifier. It has lights and hanging eye catchers. Plus several lovely musical tunes to soothe. Fast and slow speeds you can adjust one click at a time. Not just high and low. Very comfy and soft. She has outgrown it but she is a chunky girl. She used it until 6 mos. old when she started to try and crawl out of it. I would strongly advise this one. I am passing it on to my next granddaughter on the way soon.
The only thing I didn't care for was I cannot get the cover off to wash it. I can cleanse it w/disinfectant wipes though. ...

This swing was a gift from a dear dear friend and it looks great, but it is not. My baby weighed 9 lbs 6oz at birth and the only way this swing would even move was on the high speed, and it is not very fast even then. Now she is bigger and she doesn't like it because it is so so slow. I would not recommend it. However, when they say it is silent, they mean it! :) It is really quiet when it moves.

I was not happy that this swing wouldn't swing at all with my 2 mo. old 10# baby. She wasn''t either, and when BABY ISN'T HAPPY, MOMMA ISN'T HAPPY. When I take her out of the swing...then it will swing! Yeah, that is why I wasted my money on batteries??? Buy another brand....don't waste your time, effort taking it home, or your money! You will be sorry!
My baby is sitting in it crying as I type....so I had better go and get her out of this piece of junk no swinging swing!.....back to the store tomorrow to return!
I recieved the summer travel swing for my baby shower. I was very excited because it was compact and very cute. When we first brought our daughter home the swing worked great for the twenty minutes she was in it. Due to a c section and the swing being so close to the ground I borrowed a regular swing from my sister so that I could pick her up from the swing. Once I was back to my self again we pulled the swing out again. The swing would not swing with a 9lb newborn. I had to sit on he ground and push it or I had to sit and nudge it with my foot. While this swing looks very pretty, it operates poorly. This swing was bought for my 4wk old while we were out of town visiting the grandparents. It is horrible. The swing doesn't swing well on its own. I had to do this manually. The lights stay on and the music is very short. In all, the swing failed to accomplish what it was made for. I will invest in a fisher price next time.
this swing is beautiful but that is the only positive thing i have to say about it. It is horrible!!! the lights never worked, and the music lasted about 20 seconds and that's with brand new name brand batteries. my daughter flipped forward at 3 weeks old, thank god i was sitting right there when it happened, it swings slow, has no support, the music & lights dont work, it's JUNK! a waste of money!
Although I agree with some of the bad comments, It is low, the baby can bump her head sometimes, the music is very low , etc. But overall this is a good swing! My baby is 2 months old and would not sleep on the crib or bassinet during the day, after I bought this, she sleeps for hourssss and hourssss. So I guess that's enough for 4 stars!
My daughter was about 6 weeks when I bought this swing! Its small easy to carry when folded! And as from what I can see my daughter loves this swing! The only thing I dislike is that the swing I had bought the lights wouldn't work overhead! But it may have gotten thrown around by some kids in the store! I took it back and got one that the lights work, And now I don't think I could live without it! And the color is great! Its a wonderful swing all in all!
I bought this swing for my 4 month old daughter for Christmas; she loves it. I love the fact that it's quiet. My only concern is that the seat does not tilt back; she's at that stage where she trying to sit up I fear that when she leans forward in the swing that her weight will make the swing topple over. Because of this I never leave her unattended in the swing.
Do not but this piece of junk. It would not work if I did not push it myself. Arm gets tired. My granddaughter is only 2 months old. You would be better off in buying a fisher price swing.
I loved the idea of this swing. It is soft and cuddly. It is low to the ground so I didn't worry about tipping with older children or clumsy husbands. My little girl is extremely active, however, and this is not for her. She has been trying to sit up since she was 3 months old and the back folds up with her. It also stops swinging when she gets very excited, starts kicking her feet, and leans forward. It is very secure and did not tip over with her hanging off the front, but it also is very impracticle since the back folded up and kept her in that position. Good for calm babies only.
