I have a shed but I like having extra storage for my Sears snow blower during the summer and the Sears mower in the winter. The Sun Caster 30 cu ft fits nice against the side of the shed.

It is easy to assemble. Make sure to put the sides up first as the back has pins that go into the sides. Other than that it is a snap to put up. In less than an hour you have plenty of extra storage that looks neat and clean. You can use the top as count when closed.

Since I buy most things at Sears the shopper points really cut down the cost. Points paid for 2/3 of the original cost. But even without the points...

Flat ground required & a lock/latch

Overall I am satisfied with the product. Though there is not much surface area to catch the lid, it did fly open and pulled off the side panel and front door. So, though I use it to keep recycling bins and a garbage can I must use a lock on its latch to keep it from blowing apart in medium to strong winds. I later built a small brick area (out of the wind) to place the shed. This surface must be absolutely flat for the doors and lid to work properly. The label on the bottom is explicit about this limitation.

Great size for a deck or garage

This is the third of this storage shed that I have bought. It is the perfect size--big enough to hold a number of items (children's outdoor toys in our case) but not so large that it overwhelms the area you place it. It was relatively easy to put together, even in the dark when it was cold. It is made well and operates easily. I like how the lid can be kept up if necessary and that you can lock the shed if you want.

Very Happy

I have had other Suncast products and searched out their line when I found a need for a shed. First, Sears delivered it to a nearby store within a week. That was great. They loaded it in my truck, that was terrific. So Sears gets my thanks up front. The unit was very easy to build. I was fininshed in a half hour. I did use a utility knife to cut back some flash from the holes, but that was the only tool I needed. I would say that the constant reminder that you should have a solid and flat foundation under the shed is very important. I didn't start out that way, and quickly saw why they mention... read full review »

smart purchase

I was purchasing a new garbage bin every 2 months from the raccoons eating the bin covers. This shed was the perfect answer to this dilemma. I'm not handy and it took me 15 minutes to put together. The price was inexpensive and it works.

A lot more space than expected!

This garden shed offers a lot more space than I thought it would. It was very easy to put together just by myself. Everything snaps together -- no tools needed at all. I am very pleased.

another good building

i use this one to store gas for my tractor thus keeping the gas out of my shop. it holds plenty of cans and a funnel i use safety cans so the funnel is necessary. the top and front open for easily pulling a gas can out.

Suncast storage for trash cans

We purchased this item 2 years ago and it is great. It holds two garbage cans and them some. We have to take our trash to the dump so we didn't want to have unsightly trash bags accumulating and certainly didn't want to attract scavengers or flies. This shed is well built, still looks great after two years and is easy to clean. Getting ready to buy another one to keep our goat feed in (they are masters at getting into things) they won't get into this one!

A Must Have

We purchased this item about two years ago. It's one of the best investments we made. The top and front doors open easily. It will keep anything you put inside dry. We had raccoons that would knock over our garbage cans during the night leaving us with a mess to clean up in the morning. Since we now keep our garbage cans in the shed, it gives a neater appearance to the side of the house and solved our raccoon problem.

Garden Shed

Having had a large shed that was in my back yard that was old and rusted. Glad that I decided to purchase this shed. It was so easy to put together. Took me about 1 hour! I am not a professional by no means they probably could have gotten it up in a much shorter time. I was really worried that I could not get it up at all. Really worth the money.

My Experience

Sears offered the most competitive price I found for this garden shed and it was readily available. The box was large and heavy, so bring your SUV to carry home. Assembly instructions were clear, took about 1 hour and required no tools except for a box knife to trim some plastic flash from mating components. I used a circular saw to cut a section of the base out to permit the shed to fit over a lake water pump system. With the large top and front doors open, access to the pump system is great! The shed makes a nice weather proof enclosure and also reduced pump noise. FYI, last year I purchased... read full review »

Money well spent

Overall the unit met all expectations. The only thing that had me scratching my head was the panels to be assembled. Each side came in two pieces, an upper & a lower, instead of one piece per side. I guess that this was done to make the carton a bit smaller and therby easier to ship. Though assembly was easy, all the panels give you more failure points. I really won't know how it stands up to the weather because of this for some time to come.

Suncast Garden Shed solves a problem

I had been storing pool supplies in my garage and the chlorine tabs were causing corrosion on any metal objects in the garage. I searched the Sears website and found the Suncast 4 1/2 x 3 foot horizontal garden shed. I ordered it online to be shipped to a local store. It arrived in two days. I picked it up and in an hour had it assembled and filled with pool supplies. It opens from top or side and is light enough to operate with one hand and it looks fine next to the pool. It allows enough circulation, so that no chemical odor builds up and does not leak in a rain. It is starting it's third summer... read full review »

Love this shed

We just recently purchased this shed and we both love it. It was so easy for my husband to assemble. It is large, but not too large! We put our lawn mower and weed wacker in it and still have more room. All we need to do is to make sure we tie it down before hurricane season. We plan to purchase another one to house our generator and gas cans. Hope we won't need them!!!
