Second one I've bought from Sears (and last) if you can't touch it? don't buy it. Sears doesn't stock them in store so you can't -really- see what is going on. What cook has NEVER had a pot boil over? The idiots who designed this unit could have made a gutter on the rim to channel such accidents SOMEWHERE BESIDES THE ACCESS TO THE INSIDES where it naturally rolls around to and SHORTS OUT THE UNIT. both of mine have lasted about a year. read full review »My wife has it for 3 years, we're about to buy another. Very easy, quick and dependable. You must use the correct cookware, i.e. does a magnet stick to it. Does not need to be expensive as other review claims. Induction depends on magnetic heating!
