Lockedrear shock

i have a 2000 chevy caverlier and need one shock on the rear right. how much do it cost and is the installation free

You should never only install 1 shock. It is best to install at least a pair on the same axle (left and right). Reason for this is the balance of the suspension will be upset and could cause an unsafe condition. As far as the cost, I am not sure I'm a technician at a Sears Auto Center. Hope this helps.

That year Cavalier is a strut style suspension. when there is a labor promotion, struts are usually 50% off labor. As noted, they should be replaced in pairs.I can't give an exact cost, as labor rates do vary by region.
