“Great price and great product!”

I bought this DVD player for a road trip with my 3 children ages 8, 3, and 1, and they loved it!! I read a lot of bad reviews about it so I was a little hesitant, but for the price I just couldn't say no. I bought the extended warranty just in case it was as bad as everyone said. We have only had it for about 4 months but we have used it a LOT and it works perfectly!! I would say the only bad thing about it is that it is hard to get the DVD's in and out to change the movie while you are in the car. The screen has to come out of the holder and fold down. But that could really be done in about 2...

“Be sure to purchase some headphones along with this.”

Sylvania has a great idea and good thinking having the dual screen to avoid sibling squabbles.  This product is good quality EXCEPT for the sound.  It's awful.  We have to keep it turned all the way up and still can hardly hear it no matter which dvd we put in it.  I can't imagine how hard it's going to be to hear it when we take a trip and have to use it in the car.

“Portable DVD Dual Screen -Good Price, Good Idea, Poor Quality!”

Portable DVD Player - Dual Screen:  Love the idea of the product and loved the price but the quality was very undesirable.  After 30 days had to return the product for a full refund.  The player kept freezing up over and over again.  I would not recommend this product.  If it hadn't messed up when it did I would have been stuck with a DVD Player that I couldn't use.  Store policy on this particular electronic was a 30 day return policy.

“It does it's job”

I purchased this system and was surprised to see the dvd is inserted behind one screen. I like that feature. I bought it to entertain the children and it does it's job. You get what you pay for, so don't look spectacular features and quality. If you are looking for more spend more$$$$$$. It works great for me. I accidentally dropped the unit and it still works!

“did not work”

I bought this to entertain my 4 kids on the way to a family reunion thought that it was a good investment they range from 13 to 9. I am taking it back we tried it before we left it worked but we only tried 1 screen when we got on the road. the 1st screen worked great the second one did not the sound did not come out and then the screen would not work they got frustrated and just used the one screen. “It works for me”

I bought one of these for my step children. I like that I can hook an X-Box 360 to it and they can play because they dont always want to watch the same thing. The only things about it that I dont like is that the cords just arent long enough for me (I drive a Tahoe so the seats arent as close together) and I dont like the straps to hold it to the seats, I have leather seats and they dont want to stay so I have to let them hang off of they back of the seats. I am over all very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to just about anyone looking for one.

“nice set, but NO TV Tuner connection's”

I stopped by KMart last week to look at this unit. I wanted it for the grandkid's to use when they are here. One unit has the DVD Player which connect's to the second unit. I wanted one that would also let me connect to Cable/Satellite TV and the reason for this one requirement was, I have one granddaughter, parent's divorced that her dad is a PICU (Pediatric ICU nurse) and when they come to visit on weekend's, he tries to get some sleep(work's from 11PM to 7am) and though our granddaughter has her laptop and a TV in her room, this TV was going to be used so that the volume was low and she could... read full review »

“Donot buy”

I thought I would kill 2 birds w/one stone for my 2 grands. Wrong!!!!!!!!!! With the dual screen, there was a short inside of the system, 1st there was no sound coming from the 2nd screen-then when we could get sound-No picture..........

“Sylvania Portable DVD Dual screen is a travel joy!”

the only negative I have is that the volume is a little low as we travel. Bumps in the road, etc make it hard to hear

“Wonderful for raod trips”

We intially bought this dvd system for our boys for a road trip to florida ( a 16 hour drive for us) and let me tell you it was a life saver. Around Charleston SC, we hit major traffic and ended up basically sitting still for almost 4 hours. My boys where one and not quite two and a half yet, and they sat watching movies the whole time and barely made a peep (my boys don't get to watch much tv, so this was a real treat for them :-D) . I will never make another road trip without this dvd system.

I loved that when I bought it, it had everything included, all the wires, the straps to fix it...

“Sylvania Dual Screen DVD player”

Would not recommend! Don't waste your time.

Picture quality and dvd playing abilities were fine. However, straps make it difficult to change the DVD once in place. THERE IS NO INTERNAL BATTERY - every time you stop/turn off the car, the dvd starts over from the beginning. Very frustrating for both the kids and the parents!

The second screen quit working after a few month. Called and it was $45 to send in for repair. Praise the Lord that my mom (who gave it as gift) had purchased KMART replacement plan for $8 bucks and they fully refunded purchase price on to a gift card. Now to sell the gift card...
