I am narrowed down to these two brands, but if one is made here, I would rather buy that.

South Korea.

No televisions under any brand name are made in America.

Yeah, both are South Korean based.  Both have plants all over the world, but from what I've seen in my store is that the Samsung televisions are built in Mexico.  Not sure about LG.  BlueCrewGuyinMA is right, no brand name television is made in America.  Vizio, while based in America in California, manufactures their televisions in Asia.

Not to be picky, Talon, but LG actually stands for Lucky Goldstar.  But, yes, Almost all of both Samsung and LG products are made in South Korea.

Panasonic still made in Japan. (assembled in Mexico). Great tv's!

All tv's are made in other countries and that's the same with most electronics.

Just like cars,we buy cars from any where but in our country and if we keep it up there will be nothing made here. I know the first thing you might think,Honda's, Toyota's are all made here and that is true. With the exception of the workers salaries the rest of the money goes to Japan & Korea.

I suppose I'm wondering when everything are made some place other than here, how are we going to afford them cause we are surely not going to be working.

Just a thought! All of these products are made well, but it makes no difference because we have no money!

why Nike can pay $10 to Vietnam or China for a pair of sneaker and sell them for $100?  Who are making more? we?  NO.  We just able to print more money and people are willing to loan us more money to spend.  We actually not making that much.......

Some cheaper Fords are made in Mexico, and many Hondas, Nissans and Toyotas are made here in America. It's nice to think we're supporting Americans and buying American made, but I don't think there's been a TV made here for quite a while. Philips/Magnavox used to assemble their TV's in TN, but NAFTA put an end to that. I guess the bottom line is that we're a global economy, and there is always someone willing to work for less than you.

Don't forget all the tax dollars that Honda, Nissan and Toyota pay to the local and the federal governments. They're putting Americans to work and that's something. I don't care who gets the "profit" at the top of these companies, do you? Does the American working for Nissan in TN care? No, he's happy he has a job.

To me, Henry Ford the XVII (or whoever) is no better or worse or any less entitled to the profit than Soichiro Honda the XVII (or whoever).

We put ourselves in this position, or rather our fathers and grandfathers did. They were fat cats in the 50's and 60's, with their unions getting them more money and benefits at every opportunity. (We're now paying for their American dream) Well along comes the global marketplace and economy. Who doesn't want to pay less for something? Don't blame Japan, Korea, China and everyone else in Asia for wanting to better their standard of living, just as WE did 30-50 years ago.

What goes 'round comes 'round. I say God bless any poor, hungry sod who wants to work (and can work) for less than me.

Your comments seems very wise to me misterweiss, sad but true words for those ones who work for even $2 an hour (if lucky).

Back in November I was looking at the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. The Honda was made in Mexico! I ended up buying the Toyota which was made in Japan. They are now also making the RAV4 in Canada.

All of you who own a foreign car can do all of us that drive american cars a favor.. take your money and move to china or japan or whereever your car was made... it's not just about where it was made.. it is all about how we americans whom are supposed to be against communism, sit here at home buying chinese ****... then all the profits go back to the communist party..  I as an american refuse to buy a foreign car, however, as previously stated, it's harder than hell these days to find anything that is 100% american made.  It's time for Americans to stand up and say no more.. sure they give us jobs.... but at what cost to you? To your family?  Not like the five or ten of us can make a difference.. it's time  for every American to say WTF....

Do you drive a Chevrolet (named for a Frenchman)? Remember how American CEO of General Motors Roger Smith moved a whole heap of jobs out of Michigan and down to Mexico? USA! USA!

How about when American automobile icon Ford decided to build its factory for the new Fiesta subcompact for the global market in Mexico, depriving the US of up to 30,000 jobs? USA! USA!

Meanwhile, those Godzilla-loving evil Japanese are busy building Honda and Toyota factories in the United States and paying competitive wages with reasonable benefits (read: costs less than UAW's exorbitant levels), and employing American workers in America. Even in the same places that GM decimated when it pulled out. Those MONSTERS!

I'd suggest that you take a look around your house, at your clothes, shoes, electronics, tools, cars, and count how many are made in America. Are you putting your money where your mouth is, or are you just race baiting?

Before shooting one's mouth off, one should check whether one has all the facts straight.

The Japanese are not communists and they are actually one of our most important allies our economies are so intertwined, neither could survive without the so, really there is no reason to bad mouth the Japanese or their companies.

Hello, this is 1954, we want our McCarthyism back.

As the world is right now, in this global economy, there is absolutely no room for isolationist and racist rhetoric such as this.  I'd like to know where YOUR ancestors came from, and I can bet I can find, somewhere in history, that someone treated them EXACTLY as your treating the orientals.

Grow up and be reasonable.
