Lockedwho makes vizio?

I have never heard the name and wonder what kind of quality you get for the price.

I dont know who AMTRAN is but Vizio is their very own company, now I dont know what company out of China they contract to develop the parts for their tvs but they are their very own privately owned company, and has been on the tv market since 2003. Currently they are Americas #1 LCD tv maker.

They are Americas third largest selling  brand of TVs. I can' tell who makes them, but they have become known for low price respectable quality  TVs in just a few years.

Vizio was a company formed in 2002 in Irvine, California.  By 2007 they had become the largest sellers of LCD televisions in the U.S.  They provide an affordable alternative to high end manufacturers and are considered to have reasonably good quality comparable to those high end manufacturers according to Consumer Reports.  They dropped their plasma line in the beginning of 2009.
