I lucked upon this In-tank Filter for my new aquarium. I bought the aquarium online and it didn't come complete (I knew that when I bought it), so I was slowly looking to get the rest of the parts. No, this isn't my first aquarium. It is my second, and bigger, in this house. I have had aquariums my whole life and used different filtration methods. I wasn't wanting to use an undergravel filter in this tank, but really didn't have the room for a behind the tank filter either. I bought this tank for my granddaugter, it works great, i have a different brand already that does not have a filter system and it needs cleaned quite often. This one is great. It prefect for her room.
I have many betta tanks and this filter works very well with this fish. Bettas don't do well with strong currents and create very little mess. Usually you must clean a betta tank once a week, but using this filter increases the time to once a month.
