This is a powerful story of forgiveness.  It is fiction, but it seems so real.  I believe everyone can relate to this book in some way, even if the specific events have not happened to them.  The love of God really shines through in this book and makes you understand His love in new ways.  The story...

Most Helpful Critical Review

This is a good book to read in a crisis.  I didn't find it exceptional, but I am glad I read it.  It takes a lot to get through it, some parts make you want to put it down - not very exciting.  But overall I think it is great to help keep more of an open mind on spiritual vs human.  If ever I went...

great book, offers new perspective

This book pulls at your heartstrings. A good book even for the person who does not believe in God.

most amazing book ever

I love to read. So, let me suggest to you "The Shack" by William Paul Young. It's an easy read but so captivating it will leave you wanting more. I bought this book to take with me to the beach for vacation. I asked lots of people book suggestions, and it was unreal how many people have read and are reading this amazing book. It's unlike anything you have read before. Once I started "The Shack" i couldn't stop. I read it in 24 hours. I couldn't stop telling my friends and family about how much it leaves to the imagination and inspires the reader to live a better life since it is a short...

There is new revelation of who GOD is and HE is represented well in this fictional book.

The Bible say "God is Spirit". It further says "Noone has seen GOD ever". Despite these and other verses about GOD and Heaven man can only comprehend physical things. In this process we have been taught Heaven is somewhere in outer space and is full of physical mansions, and streets of gold, and pearly gates. These are the traditions of our fathers and do not line up with GOD's word in the Bible.

Jesus appeared in different forms to those who knew him well before the crucifiction but they did not recognize...

I am an avid reader and a very spritual person.

I tried so hard to get through this and couldn't.

It just got too werid for me. Most of the people that i know that read this book found it strange, but good.

I just finally gave up and didn't finish it.  This is unusual for me.  I will usually finish the book no matter what.

I bought this book, The Shack, because years ago my Dad was killed violently.  I thought it would provide some insight or something, that I always search for.  It is making me think and in a way that is positive for me.  It is a heavy read but can also be worthwhile if you are ready for what it offers.

The new book on the market, The Shack, leaves the reader processing the ideas and experiences proclaimed in the story for days after finishing it.  It is about a father who takes his three children on a weekend camping trip that was memorably wonderful until just before packing the car to leave.  A terrible tragedy occurs that changes the life of the family as they once knew it.

The story touches the very core of a persons' existence after being affected by such a tragedy.  It provokes the gut wrenching questions that a person needs answered in order to have some kind of peace...

The Shack was a wonderful book!  I purchased it on a whim and berated myself all the way home from the store for wasting money.

I wasn't going to read it because it just had one of those covers that did not attract me.  But I packed quickly for a flight and it was the only thing out and ready to act as a light weight carry on item.  With my first layover being extended for the usual reasons, I began to read.

The Shack was impossible to put down.  I found myself reading just one more page, one more chapter, one more ... until the book was finished before the day was out.

It had everything that...

This is truly a beautiful book. I cannot believe anyone would be sorry they had read it.

It can be very hard - be prepared to cry.

But it is amazing.

But be alert - it is not the Bible. It is fiction but wonderful fiction.

I think it has received criticism because people expect it to be perfectly scripturally correct - but it is fiction.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I only read this book because a friend of the family suggested it. I normally read homiside/mystery/thriller books, so this one was definitely not my "usual" books I like to read. I was completely amazed at how great this book was. It really gets you thinking. My whole prespective about the way God looks (or so I think he looks) has changed. It is a very interesting book, and I suggest that everyone read it. You'd be suprised on how much you like it. I know I was.

"The shack" Good read

I found the book "The Shack"  to be a most delightful read. It took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I found it a little hard at first to get into it with my beliefs, but soon I was captivated and had a hard time putting the book down, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone.
