Road Hazard is offered at the Auto center as a sort of an extended warranty for your tires.  If you role over a nail.   your tire its covered.

The jist of road hazard:

If anything were to happen to the tire that is not caused by a manufacturers defect, i.e. nails in the tire, glass, uneven road surface, pothole, etc. then we will fix or replace the tire for up to four years, or up until 25% of the tread is gone. If the tire needs replaced after 25% of the tread is gone within that four year period, we would then prorate the tire for you.

Great to have!

Is a six-foot long ladder on the highway considered a "hazard"?

Driving over frozen lakes!

Ice Road Truckers...

Hopefully, not during a "white-out".

Well, after 8 years of not good words, spellicating and mixication of singular and plural words, you could do just about anyth'n you wanted to do, and still not have a couple'a Master's degrees to rest on.

Is driving over a curb considered a "road hazard"?

Or, taking on speed bumps at full speed?

I believe it is! The curb anyway.  Not so sure about the speed bump.  SLOW DOWN ADAM!!

Considering how cheap the road hazard protection is, it's a no-brainer.

Dos the rode hazard cover low tread fluid?

Gotta keep the tire "topped-off" with the green slime, or the warranty is void.

:)

I recall years ago that some warranties covered any damage to the tire except damage to the sidewall.  So if you got a nail through the tread, you were covered.  If you got it through the sidewall, you weren't.  Does this distinction still exist?
