How can Sears better reach the carpentry market in air nailers and staplers?

Today, in the "ideas" section, I put an idea called "Make air compressors more appealing to the homeowner market".  In summary, the main obstacle to using carpentry air tools (which I do use sometimes) is the bother of dealing with the air compressor.

A few years back, the air compressors were divided into the Carpentry models (small hot dogs, and pancakes) and the Mechanics' compressors.

This tended to concentrate the tools where they were best used, but, tended to confuse Customers who were just looking for an "air compressor".

Maybe it is time to revisit the small compressors' placement?

A very few number of Craftsman/ evolv air compressors will drive nearly ANY pneumatic nailing tool.

I use my trusty Craftsman 2 gallon Hot Dog air compressor for my nailing tasks.

Also, a demonstration block of wood, illustrating the difference between brad, finishing (straight 16 and angled 15 gauge), roofing, framing nails (clipped and standard head) and staples (narrow and wide crown) would be of great assistance in demonstrating WHY there are so many different pneumatic nailers available.

Maybe, throw in some headless pins, to capture the catalog or Internet available nailer?
