LockedDog Bones

The dog bone wrenches are back. This time with the Craftsman name replacing the Thorsen.

Unfortunately, they're stuck on a clip strip away from the main aisle, so they're not selling as well.

Yet...Thorsen dog bones didn't have the Craftsman lifetime warranty.

They'll be on the Tool Gift Bar...

These new shiny versions of the Craftsman dogbone wrench include a Metricational size, 6 point opennings, and the ability to run long fasteners through the dogbone's heads.

They should eventually be on the coming Tool Gift Bar.

looking forward to them

We're not getting a Tool Bar this year. I think I may move the clip strip today to make them more visible.

Put it on the wrenches isle.

I will if there's a spot on the updated POG for it. First, I gotta finish getting through the socket reset. OH, the SOCKETS!!!

We haven't started our store's socket reset.

I wonder if they're going to get the sizes concurrent?

And, the adaptors all in one spot?

And, maybe group the Breaker Bars together and not hidden in with all of the ratchets?

And, move the 6 and 12 point sockets far enough away from one another, that they're not STOCKED on the wrong hooks?

AdamO - below in bold italic are the answers to your questions.

We haven't started our store's socket reset.

This is more of a simple update than an extensive reset; the only thing that that really changes is that we dropped some hex keys and we got the 3/4" items on the POG, which were at R status, but not previously listed on the actual POG (all of which will be outlined when you pull the POG).

I wonder if they're going to get the sizes concurrent?

The sockets positioning does not change.

And, the adaptors all in one spot?

The adaptors are still scattered amongst the ratchets and extension bars.

And, maybe group the Breaker Bars together and not hidden in with all of the ratchets?

The breaker bars are still with the ratchets.

And, move the 6 and 12 point sockets far enough away from one another, that they're not STOCKED on the wrong hooks?

            The sockets are not changing.

All of these issues are being taken care of in the true reset which is coming up next year. Let me know if you have further questions.

Alright...

We can certainly do an "adjustment" before the holidays...

Hey Adam, aren't those black Craftsman wrenches with the toothy box-end cool? Extra-thick handle, size on both ends of the wrench, and that slick black and silver look...mmm...

A set of those may find their way into my tool set this Christmas. :)

I think those are the new Craftsman black-oxide finished "spline" wrenches.

Only $29.99 a set!

$29.99 nothin'...they're $19.99 regular price for a set of 7!

Oh, man!

I "need" some of them sets (metric and fractational).

They're out on display now.

We just got ours in today, they are awesome. On sale for only 17.99 right now.

They've got a hook out for the dog bone wrenches.

Only one problem: There are two versions - metricational and fractational.

But, one hook is progress.

A Customer came in "looking" for a dog bone wrench.

The problem is, that now that there's a hook available on the display, the two small boxes of dog bone wrenches are around the store "somewhere".

Do your wrench wall reset, and you'll see that you now have two peg hooks for the dog bones.

Great!

When I go back in, we'll all have a "little look" at the POG.

Thanks...

No Tool Bar!

That's just not RIGHT!

How about a compromise?

Half a tool bar, with NO toys.

Now, that there would be a GREAT deal...

The toys could go over yonder to the Infants and Kids departments.

But, we could sell the Craftsman 1st tool toys in the Tool Department.
