OK. I did a quick survey of my hand-held power tools and the results are in.
The Craftsman 315 OEM "Royal-Crown" era logoed tools seem to be US made.
That would have been early 60's to mmm... early 70's.
I also found a 900 OEM tool that although not made in the US, was manufactured in Italy.
All the old tools "surveyed" were corded, of course.
