Just purchased a Kenmore 800 Washer. It makes a loud popping sound when it is changing gears (or something). When it goes from filling to washing it pops, washing to draining it pops, filling to rinse it pops, draining it pops, spinning it pops. Anytime it changes to something else it pops. It is very loud and scares you, when you are not expecting it! It is worse than popping a balloon. What could this be?? Do I need a service rep, or is this normal for the Kenmore 800 Washer/

Inappropriate?

I would recommend calling 800 4 MY HOME, as this does not sound like a normal operating noise.
