My husband and I are getting our first weekend away in over 4 years without kids.  Any suggestions on where to go?  I like spas and pampering, but also like to explore new places and visit historical sights.

I don't know if I would call Vegas historical, mad!  : )

How about Michigan- the New Buffalo area is so nice this time of year with apple picking and beautiful trees?  There are some spa type places around there, too!

We moved several hundred pounds of laminate flooring, by UHaul, a couple hundred miles to a fix'r up'r cabin we got.

Fun... times!

The UHaul had a V8 engine!

I drove diesel trucks, off and on, in the Army.

But, you should have seen the way my wife could make that UHaul move!

You can DO THAT, with a rental truck?

Vegas is historical for "my people". OK, here's one more if you want to fly: Boston, actually Cambridge. Weekender deal at The Royal Sonesta, get a room overlooking the Charles River (I love that dirty water), walk to the Museum of Science and the Duck Boat tours. Dinner on the sidewalk at the Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs in the Galleria Mall across the street. The bathrooms are a little Spartan at the Sonesta but the balcony rooms are breathtaking. Bike rentals out back for the bravest.

Quack, Quack!

Ah... Boston.

I was born there.

The quaint narrow streets.

The one-way streets as far as you can drive...

Oh, the wonderful 4-letter words and witasisms I learned while my mom and dad were attempting to "navigate" the previously mentioned streets!

"That guy has GUTS! No brains, just guts."

The memories...

Me and my big mouth... wife just booked 2 non-stops for the Bellagio. Hope I can get the time off (sigh).

HA!  You can't complain, mad!  The Bellagio is so nice, and you will have a blast!
