Yellowstone Geyser field in October just before the park closes. Have actually walked out to Old Faithful and looked down in on a moonlit night. (Was informed by a Park Ranger that not only was this probably the most illegal place in the US to stand, but also the most dangerous as the crust in places is very thin....as he swigged from my bottle of Jack Daniels)

Atlantis resort in the Bahamas.  Went there last year for just one day and absolutely loved it. I'm saving my money so that I can go back next spring for a few days.

I will take a beach-just about anywhere.  There are some terrific beach areas along the MIchigan side of Lake Michigan, that are just the best in the summer.  But, any beach is nice.  With or without kids.

I really enjoy Halibut Point State Park on the North Shore. It's a big old quarry on the coast. Very peaceful, with paths and huge granite slabs on the water. It's a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Is that in Guam?  What is that?

Do I have to pick just one?  I'd love to go to Yellowstone and a number of other places.  Make it a goal it visit all the National Parks, and some state parks too along the way!  Great images to be found there.

I've just been to Lake George (NY). It was a great vacation, highly recommend. Theres plenty to do there, lots of shopping, sightseeing, good places to eat, etc.

Other than that, my family and I don't really take vacations (I went w/ my cousins to Lake G) we just take day trips like to NYC, a beach in NJ, or somewhere else in PA/NJ thats interesting.

I absolutely love Gatlinburg, TN; Cades Cove, TN; the Smokey Mountain National Park, Gulf Shores, Al; Destin, Fl; and Dauphin Island, Al. These places feel like home to me when I go there! Love them! Look into going to some of these places!

Anywhere underground.  Mammoth, Carlsbad, Howe, name the cave, and I've either seen it, or will one day!

If you have the chance, the physical fortitude, and AREN'T claustrophobic, the "wild cave" tour they offer on Sundays at Mammoth National Park is AWESOME.

I, however, will not be embarking on any vacations for quite some time, and haven't in the last three years.  Just can't afford to...

The land of my ancestors- Ireland.  We try to go once a year to see my grandparents.  If you haven't visited, it's definitely one of those must-go-before-you-die destinations.

I also like Barbados.  Absolutely beautiful, and you don't even need to learn any phrases in another language!

I've never been to Ireland, but would love to go.  I wanna kiss the Blarney Stone.  Have you ever done that?  I already have the gift of gab, obviously, so maybe it's not a good idea lol!  I have been to England, though, and it was GORGEOUS, and I'd like to go to Barbados.  I really want to go to Cuba, too, but I know that's a REALLY bad idea.  I just love mojitos and a lot of sun.

I'd love to visit Ireland as well.  It's on my top 5 list of places I'd like to visit.  No Blarney Stone for me though... I'm a germophobe and I've heard it's one of the germiest places on earth.  LOL

Yellowstone just isn't the same since it almost burned down several years ago, it is kinda like driving thru a giant ash tray. I think the best time I every had was Walt Disney World, in Orlando we stayed on property at one on the lower priced hotels and were treated wonderfully by the staff. the nightly light shows at Epcot were incredible. the entire experience makes you feel young again.

That does sound perfect, terryf.  I had no idea there even were lower priced hotels on the property!  Just always assumed they were so expensive.  That is really good to know for a future visit.
