LockedSole F80 Treadmill

posted on February 09, 2010 at 09:27PM Inappropriate?

I have never owned a treadmill and want to have a good experience.  After reading about Sole treadmills it seems they are the best bet in the $1000-$2000 range.  I don't want to spend a bundle so I've kind of settled on the F80.  Does anybody have any feedback on this manufacturer or this specific model?  Almost all the reviews I have read have been positive but wanted to get some direct feedback if possible.  Thanks !

Sole looks like a solid treadmill on paper, but a little pricey. Have you stopped by Sears to test the 10-15 floor models of the other brands? Maybe you won't need to spend so much on your first one.

I plan to do that this coming weekend.  do you have any suggestions?  the material I read said that if you plan to do more than just walk on your treadmill (ie. jog or run), you will probably spend at least $1000.  do you agree?

Two factors, weight and speed. If you are average, say under 200 lbs and run at 6 mph or less then the door is open. Highend treadmills (over $1200) are built for larger or faster athletes while the top-end (2500+) is for commercial 24/7 type use, IMHO. Avoid bells and whistles and see which one is most comfortable to you. Good luck.
