Washer & Dryer Repair —
My Kenmore Elite front loading washer broke down Wednesday morning. According to the error code, it was a problem with the motor and the grinding noise I heard as it suddenly stopped spinning told me it was BAD!
When I called Sears Repair, the lady I spoke with was VERY nice and I greatly enjoyed our conversation! She scheduled a technician to come to my home Friday between 8 a.m. and noon.
The technician called me at noon and said he'd be here in about half an hour. When he arrived he apologized for being late. A bee flew in his van window and stung him at the corner of his eye and he had to stop and put ice on it. I'm surprised he didn't quit for the day as it was swollen and looked very painful!
His diagnosis was that the motor was indeed bad and needed to be replaced. He didn't have the right one with him, but instead of making me wait for one to be ordered (with five grandchildren in my house!) he contacted another technician who did have the right one and made arrangements to meet up with him to get it. WOW!!!
The tech came back a couple hours later with the new motor and had my washer fixed in no time.
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to be treated as though we MATTER! Such is unfortunately all too rare in this day and age. This technician really went out of his way, bee sting and all, to be extra helpful and get my washer fixed in one day! I hope Sears sends me a comment form to fill out so I can let them know my opinion on his service!
