LockedInstalling Sears Elite Stackable in Closet

I am wanting to install my Sears Elite stackable washer and dryer in the laundry closet. The size of the washer and dryer will fit. (27x76height) My question is how do I go about this? Do I put the dryer in first and lift it up on supports? (like 2x4 bolted to the walls) Hook up the gas, vent and plug. Then move the washer under it and hook up the water, plug in, and drain pipe? Then how would I secure them on top of each other? Are there special parts to secure them together?  This is in an apartment downstairs.

If you're stacking these, you should first follow the instructions for stacking the washer and dryer near the closet. After installing the stacking kit, hook up the water, gas, venting, and plug the machines in. Then, slide the washer and dryer into place. If California requires a licensed plumber to install gas appliances, please have a licensed plumber install the machines.

The dryer will have the stacking kit included with it. Installation is simple, and only requires a screwdriver and two people.

Bend at your back and use your spine for support.
