Now that Whirlpool has taken over the Maytag corp. are they making the same quality of

machines that Maytag did.  I have used Maytag for years with excellent results but may need to buy a new one soon.

Today's Maytag is much more like the Maytag upon which it built its reputation, and very unlike the Maytag of the years leading up to the Whirlpool buyout. They're very good products and you can buy them with confidence.

That is true. Maytag was great, then Whirlpool overtook them (our Whirlpool-made Kenmore set will be 18 years old in two months ... with no repairs needed). It seems that Whirlpool is making Maytag one of their top-tier lines now ... finally giving them respect again.

the new maytags are excellent!!!!  i purchased one for myself & a washer/dryer pair for my mother in the last month.. one word of advise....get one with a manual water level switch(sm,med,lg) and stay away from the load sensor model & youll be happy

I find my new maytag to be quite noisey - so I would be careful.  it cleans great, but people ask me if my washer is off balance!

I have a Bravos 850 series washer and dryer. Works great so far, and the load sensor works perfectly. VERY satisfied ... at least for the first three weeks ...

Oh ... and so quiet you barely know it is on, even during the spin cycle.
