LockedSears Service

I just wanted to say Sears has been great about sending a service tech.out. It's been one month that I've had my washing machine and had to make two calls. I had service within two days of each of my calls. It looks like one tech solved my water hose problem. When the machine was installed, one hose was put on so tightly, it was pulling on my pipe and actually caused a leak from the stress. He replaced the hoses with a better set that had lots more slack in them.  Still, nobody can figure out why my lights are still flickering when only the agitator is running, so it was suggested that I try another machine. I wanted to avoid doing that, but I think I'll have to. The techs, both times, were punctual and very helpful.

Do you have copper wiring in your house, in the 70's theyused aluminum to wire houses, if you do have copper wiring try shutting of the braker that supplies the washer, then find a close outlet that is on a different circuit and see if it still flickers, If that solves the flickering check the outlet and breaker for loose connections, If your not comfortable around elect verify that the problem is in the house wiring by tryin g another outlet, Call an electrician. If you have aluminum wiring the electrician can put in the outlets and breaker made especially for aluminum wiring

My house was built in the 60's and I'm pretty sure it's copper wiring. Pardon my ignorance, but what's a breaker? I have a fuse box. Do you mean to remove the fuse? The closest outlet would mean I'd have to use an extension cord for the machine to reach it.Can I do that? Also, if my electricity is the problem, I'm wondering why my old machine did not cause the lights to flicker and why the new one doesn't do it on the spin cycle, only the agitating cycle. The tech. stuck something in the outlet to test it and it was o.k. This is a real mystery!

Do the stackable washer/dryers hook up to the kitchen sink?

Only if a really "unique" looking attachment is supplied with the washer, that screws onto the faucet outlet.

You owner's manual will say, for sure.
