LockedWater Temperature Control

Are there any top loading washing machines that do not keep stopping and starting the hot water as it flows in with the cold water? I had my Kenmore 500 hoses replaced with better hoses, but the hot water hose continues to jerk and lunge with way too much force and noise each time it turns off and on. Are there any "even flow" water lines like the old-fashioned machines? I don't want to keep having to hold the hose, trying to cut down on the force. Even holding it is not entirely sufficient to stop the pulling on the faucet/water pipe.

Have you tried turn down the hot faucet some? If you can match the expected inflow, the washer won't keep turning it off and on.

I have a Kenmore 600 washer and am having problems with the water flow.  I have had two Whirlpool washers and have had to return them for the same problems I am having with the Kenmore.  All of this has been within the last two months.  When I set the tempertature to warm I get an initial flow of water until the water in the line heats to warm temperature.  When this happens, the hot water feeding to the cold water to make warm water cuts off and stays off  and I get only a trickle of cold water for the remaining time.  The tub takes "forever" to fill.  It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the wash.  DO I HAVE A TEMPERATURE CONTROL SWITCH PROBLEM?

You have a bad water temperature switch.  I had a Sears technician come and  I was told that this is the "Energy Efficiency" feature of the machine.  I was not satisfied and called the factory.  They sent a factory technician.  He changed the water temperature switch.  The water flow is now "just fine", thanks to the factory technician and no thanks to the Sears technician.

im sorry but your wrong about this..........just about every top load washer on the market today has an auto-temp control that switches between hot & cold water to reach a preset temperature..you may have had a switch problem ,but the water will still come in with the same on/off  timing if your set on warm, hot or cool  it wont do this if its set to cold
