Lockeddoes this remove lime in water

we have alot of lime in our water that is bad and have to replace our water heater elements very often and I am wondering if this water softener will help with this problem

A water softener removes lime, a.k.a. calcium.

Take a sample (4 oz) of your water into the store to have it tested -- they can tell you how many grains per gallon (gpg) of hardness you have and recommend an appropriate solution. There are four different softeners available at Sears.
