The last power miser 9 that I installed was back in 1997. It lasted approximately 12 years, not bad for a water heater that had a 9 year warranty. So, I bought another one for the next 12 years. This time like the last time the unit was installed very simply by myself and the new one has an ignitor built right into it making it easy to light when we were ready. It lit right up and runs great. I'm looking forward to many hot showers in the future........

Totally a piece of ****. First day installed and it never worked. Sears failed to respond right away and Kenmore Inc. refused to send anyone to fix it. Now dealing with corporate office. Very irate.
