I keep reading that is a good idea to set your water heater at 120 degrees so no one can get scalded by hot water. I looked on my water heater - an old model called Kenmore Power Miser 10 and there are no degrees, just A B C.

Does anyone know what the A B C stand for???

Hi  benschar-Welcome to MySears.  Have you checked the owner's manual?  You should be able to find that at www.managemyhome.com.  This is a great resource for home appliance answers, too.  You may want to type this question into the search bar and see what comes up!

So, going from C to B to A is lowering the water heater temperature and climbing up to C is the High temperature end of the settings...

Good to know.
