I purchased 3 gallons of the epoxy coatings when Sears had a half price online sale this summer. I have a 3 car garage. Two of the bays had new concrete poured 5 weeks earlier. One bay was 15 year old concrete. I used the cleaner provided then power washed the floor. Let it dry for 3 days then applied the epoxy as directed with the exception that I stirred the 2 part epoxy for 45 minutes to ensure it was well mixed then let it sit for half an hour to rest before I applied it. Four months later, the appearance still looks great. My neighbors were all impressed. They plan to do their garages next...
read full review »I purchased Sears Weatherbeater 2 part epoxy garage floor paint, and hired professional painters to install it. After cleaning and acid-etching the floor, it was thoroughly rinsed with a power washer, and left to dry. Upon application, the epoxy separated from the pigment, resulting in a gooy mess. They called the paint manufacturer, and were told that the cleaner (supplied in the kit), must not have been rinsed off enough. So, a third power wash was used to rinse the floor again, and another day was used for drying. The second attempt to use this product produced the same separated,...
read full review »The epoxy kit was very easy to understand with the prep and application process. The epoxy needs to be mixed very very well. (fyi) Stir the big can before adding the little can. Then stir the little can and add to the big can and stir together. would have been more easy this way. (Just ensure that the mixing is real good) Apply a heavy coating and DO NOT be shy. One kit will do a bit more than half a 2 car garage. Don't try and make one kit do a 2 car garage. Throw the sprinkles up high in the air. Don't throw straight in front of you. (they wont spread out as well.) You can through as hard as...
read full review »I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to protect their garage floor from the elements. Living in the south, we have the red dirt and it stains everything. Except the weatherbeater epoxy. Oil just wipes up and won't pentetrate.
It was a little work to prepare the concrete but all the work was worth it. The floor looks great. The price is a lot less the than ********** or ***** floor coatings. I have seen those products on a floor. They do not cover as much and don't give enough flecs to cover the floor. Good Buy.
We used 3 kits to do our larger-than-average two car garage. Go on the conservative side as far as the coverage listed on the box. It came out beautifully. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to make their gargage look great. The color flecks really add to the look.
