I love the Weber Baby Q100. I was originally looking for a bigger stand alone gas grill with a cast iron cooking surface. I felt that the cast iron on the Weber grills were solid and thick to hold the heat. After leaving my local Sears to do some internet research, I went back to Sears and bought it. I am really happy that I can get a home grilling luxury virtually anywhere. It cooks very well and makes some really nice sear markings. I suggest going to the Weber website FAQ section to get some directions on how to season the grates. It takes about an hour. The Baby Q100 assembles easily... read full review »

great grill

I bought this little Weber Baby Q about one year ago and have loved it from the start. I immediately bought the conversion kit (available frrom Weber dealers)so i can use the 20# tanks of propane instead of the little ones. It's a simple matter of using a gas line long enough to reach the Baby Q from the floor. I have had great results with anything I cook. I bought the second one not because the old one didn't work but because it became heavily solied with grease and stains on the lid from the occasional hot flame and smoke. I will buy another one when this one becomes unsightly. Buy a dust......

I've been using this grill for 2 months now, and I'm delighted by it's ease of use and convenient size.  We are a family of three and I'm just learning the ropes about grilling, so I was out looking for a safe, well-built grill that just works... The Q100 was it!  I looked at the Q200 and I found it a bit too heavy for my needs (though I have to say it is a very capable grill too... ).  But the Q100 seems to be one for us.

Pros: compact size, medium-heavy grill grate, easy to clean, solid construction, peizo lighter built in.

Cons: none so far.

Thanks!

This Weber Grill is perfect for a two person household.  It takes up very little space, heats up quick, and cleans easily.

The piezo ignition makes it easy to light, I can be eating dinner less than a half-hour after getting home.  (PS  It also travels well!).

low heat

I've had my grill since 2004 and love everything about it except the heat; it has never gotten up to temperature. Has always taken over ten minutes to cook burgers and steaks.

Starter still works 3+ years later

We received this grill as a gift in June 2005. I still love it today. It is a very unintimidating grill for regular people to use. The starter button still works, and I think this is unheard of in the grill world. It is not large, but plenty of room to cook for 4-6 people. We have taken it on the road and it is easy to set up and take places. We also own the Weber Q rolling cart.

Lots of BBQ's may look fancier.... but nothing works better and thats the bottom line. The "Q" cooks so evenly and you get those great ### marks across your steaks, chicken, burgers and even hotdogs.

I hook mine up to the propane tank on my motorhome and use it to cook breakfast ( I have the optional griddle), lunch and dinner. I wouldn't leave home without my Baby "Q".

Similar to the other reviewers, I'm a really big fan of this grill. While a little pricy, it's well worth the added cost. This grill is very well made and extremely durable. It's survived many tailgating events and I now use it as my primary grill at home. I also have a large, full size grill at my house, but feel the Weber Baby Q does a much better job and provides consistent heat throughout. No hot spots!!!

This is the perfect grill for tailgating, great for condos/apts., or in small outdoor spaces. Only recommendation would be to get the 20# adapter for larger propane tanks.

Weber Baby Q Grill

This is an excellent grill. I have also purchased the cart. The only reason this grill received 4 stars for features rather than 5 was the 14 oz gas bottle. These are harder to find except in hardware stores in the plumbing department. I also purchased a conversion hose to run off a normal 20# cylinder, but the cart cannot carry that size cylinder. With the 20# cylinder, it isn't really portable unless you break it down.

I have two!

This is a great little grill for the money. Does just what we need in a small space. We have 2 - one for our main house and one for our summer house. We also have the stand at both locations. So light to move into the garage or basement when it is out of season.

Weber Q 100

I just purchased a Weber Q 100 and you can not beat the construction of this grill. Other grill will rust away while the Q withstands the test of time. You may have to change the starter down the road as in any grill. The cooking grate and burner are outstanding. The one thing that really upset me about this grill is that it uses a 14.1 oz propane tank and not the easy to find 16.4 oz tank. The smaller tanks run out of fuel fast and cost more money than the bigger ones. Also the Weber Q Grills cost a lot more than other grills, you could buy 4 grills for the price of one Weber but then again the... read full review »

Perfect grill!

Love this grill!  I have used this before at a family members house.  I will be purchasing one to keep on my boat.  It is the perfect size and cooks very quickly.  Can't wait to get mine!
