The weedeater is light weight, easy to operate and easy to add fuel.  It is the simplest weed trimmer that I have ever used.  The build is great for handling tight spaces.  This is the first weed trimmer I ever had that I did not try to injure myself with.  The light weight keeps my muscles from...

Most Helpful Critical Review

We bought this trimmer. It would not start when we got it home.  After further inspection, it seemed like the trimmer was possibly returned once before because the oil mix that was should have come with it was missing. Luckily we already had some.  We returned it! Very frustrating and a huge waste...

When I was shopping for a grass line trimmer last year, I saw there was a wide range for prices and capabilities. I decided to take a chance on a gas trimmer from Sears that  was on the low end of the price scale, hoping that it would be reliable as well. I was not disappointed.

The affordable Weedeater 16 in. gas line trimmer has exceeded my expectations for reliability and performance.

I bought the Model FL26 WEEDEATER String Trimmer because my wife wanted a trimmer she was able to use and she insisted on this one because of the brand name and the weight of the machine. I brought it home and assembled as per instructions used fresh gasoline for the 40:1 mix and attempted to start it. After several attempts it finally started, but even after letting it warm up it would not run when the choke was turned fully off, it would only run when put on half choke. I called the customer service line and they told me I would have to take it to an authorized service center, which the nearest...

Bought this product because I was short on cash. I need something cheap. It was the cheapest one there and so I bought it. I later regret it. I had to keep on re-starting it over and over again. I was weed wacking for 2 hours and I would say 45 minutes where actually running. All the other was trying to get it started and keep it started.

Worst product I ever bought

This weedeater is not right. Nobody really cared when they put it out there on the market, they just needed to have a low end trimmer available to capture the poverty level on the consumption curve, all while complying with the insane EPA  emission standards. Thats why I bought it, to throw it out, when it died, figured few years of light trimming 3 times a month 4 months a year, the only thing was, is that it never lived. It has all the same problems as stated above, it is called a signature failure mode. The line feed head advance is useless, takes a long time, line gets stuck inside, hard to...

Great Trimmer

This is my 2nd trimmer, same model.  Broke a cable on my other one, and did not want to wait for the part to come in and get repaired.  Good product.

I purchased the weedeater 16" in line and it works great.  It is very light and starts quite easily.  I also like it because I can use my 17 year old craftsman weedeater head with it. I'm not a professional but it serves my needs around the house and it don't weigh a ton.

Excellent Value

Followed directions worked like a charm out of the box. Has plenty of power for Suburbia Lawns. I'm 6'5" tall, wish the shaft was slightly longer, but for the value it's workable for the short periods that I use it.

i was disappointed with how hard it is to put the line back into the weedeater...and you can't get close to things to make a nice cut...also it is very unbalanced had older model and it was much easier on my arms....not sure why changed design...also doesn't start very well cord gets hung up when you pull sometimes

I bought this weed wacker to replace an 8 year old Craftsmen - thought I would save a few bucks since I only used weed wackers about once a week for one modest size property.  Biggest mistake I could make!  This item does not run at all in "run" mode, only in the half choke position.  The line gets stuck very often and when it does feed through it's sporatic at best - I had to respool it 3 times the very first time I used it.  I weed wacked for about 20 minutes and burned through a half tank of gas...I assume because I had to keep it in the half choke position the entire time.  Even...

Feather Lite 25cc

Have had this trimmer for not even a year and would never purchase again. Not ergonomic and will leave your arms in pain. The inside parts of the gas tank fell apart, which is poorly made. Cuts out and runs like junk. Do your self a favor and purchase a nicer model you'll be happy with and won't have to worry about this unit falling apart. Did I mention this thing is pure junk...
