The Weider PowerSwitch Adjustable 25 lb. Hand Weight was an awesome purchase. My husband and I began the P90X program in January and needed some weights. We looked all over town at different retailers. Comparing quality and prices, thinking we were going to have to spend several hundred dollars. And thinking we would need a whole other room to store all these weights. Then we say The Weider Powerswitch Adjustable Hand Weights. On sale for $69.99, condensed into one weight, and appealling to the eye. We couldn't believe it! We ended up purchasing several other things for our new home gym because...

We bought this one first. We built up to it real quick. After you are comfortable with 25lbs, there is no where to go. The 100 lbs you at least have working room. This is a excellent weight, but it does not fit the family range of lifting weights well. I have nothing bad to say about this weight, it really needs to be up to your preference in in creasing what you can lift over time.

Very good looking. SPACE SAVING. Sturdy, secure, and gets the job done. I don't see a need to buy the more expensive ones when this is same thing.

Have been looking to buy an adjustable set for quite some time..... bought this and have been using now for at least a month.

Friends tell me I'm too critical(negative) with products(and even people) but there is nothing about this product that any can not like. It takes a second to move the knob selector for the number of weight discs to pick up from or drop off on the tray, it's sturdy and well put together (no concerns for accidents due to any possible flaws), ..... it even looks great having the chrome finish. What else can one ask?     Did you say price? Well, check around and you will...

These are great, especially working out with P90X... but, I find that I constantly going to my free weights because these only go to you 25 pounds... changing to a different set.

Have only owned them for a short time.  Bought them for my wife who trains outdoors with a personal trainer.  She was lugging a milk crate full of weights around, this is much more convenient.  Not yet sure of durability since the endcaps are constructed of plastic.  But for the price, it is well worth it.  Would be perfect if you could attach a magnetic 2 1/2 lb. weight to give it a greater range.  The tray makes it very easy to change weights.  A little more difficult when used as just the 5 lb. handle because the weights shift and it takes a little more time to manipulate.

Love it

Easy to adjust, plates don't stick. Easy to place back and pickup but best of all the price!

Brought a pair of the dumb bells for my P90X and it has worked great.  Only slight problem is the disc may stick when you take it out of the base but for the price, you can't complain.  No need to buy expensive ones like the bowflex.

fantastic product!

I love these weights! I started doing a weight program about 2 months ago, and I started with regular dum bells and bar bells. The bar bells took forever to switch weight, and dum-bells take up too much space. Anyhow, I can do my video work out (Chalean extreme), and switch weights just as fast as they do in the video with the Bowflex Selecttech, and these cost almost 6 and 1/2 times less than the selecttech! Great product! I also have the 12.5 each (25 lb set), and love them as well!

Nice weight set, that doesn't take up too much space. Easy to change weight plates.

If you are limited for space, then these are the weight sets for you. The quality is good, and they work just as intended... Providing resistance to a number of different workouts. There are a few limitations that may be obvious but often overlooked. The necessity of several different dumbbell weights is important for certain exercises. With the weider adjustable weight, this may become difficult to use. For example, jumping to many different weights sequentially between sets. OR using these weights with two people simultaneously, it will be impossible. In that case depending on the application,... read full review »

I love how these weights can be changed and turned into different sizes. I can start out at a lower weight and as I improve more I can increase my weight without having to go buy more weights. These are also great on space. They dont take up too much room.

Reliable and Fast

These dumbells are relatively cheap if you consider how much you would have to spend on individual dumbells. I saw a cheaper variation of these at *******, but I am sure that these dumbells are made from higher quality materials. At first, I tended to treat these weights very gingerly, but after using them for a while I realized how sturdy there actually are. I recommend buying the weider dumbell set as well. It comes with a set of barbells which you can load different weight plates on, perfect if you need higher weight. It comes with a standard barbell which you can toss on the curb.
