“Buyer Beware!”

Weslo Pursuit 350 Exercise Bike — 

After reading the other reviews, I thought this item would be gold whenever I got it. I went and purchased this item at Kmart this afternoon and excitingly came home to put it together. Once I had it together, the pedals wouldn't even turn! No, this wasn't due to my poor building.. the main assembly is pre-built. I had to take it halfway back apart to take the main assembly apart. The resistance cable was wrapped completely around the shaft and was broken. Frustrated that it wasn't something I could fix, I took it all back apart and tossed it back in the box. Took it back to Kmart and took my chances on another one.. and wouldn't you believe it, there is a part missing!!! The resistance cable is supposed to have a small metal hook in the front shaft to connect the cable from the knob to the rest of the cable that leads to the wheel... I know this cause I just constructed it a few hours earlier! Bike works good but now I have zero use of the resistance knob.. and I refuse to take it back to the local store! I'm going to email Weslo and request the hook. Buyer beware... possible headache and frustration!
