Weslo Pursuit 350 Exercise Bike —
I have been riding mountain bikes for 10 years and can tell you that the Weslo Pursuit 350 is one solid piece of equipment. Don't be fooled by the price. If you setup the machine correctly and tighten all the bolts down, you wont have any problems. You have to re-tighten a couple of the bolts after the first few workouts but this is expected with hours of riding this bike. I can honestly say that the highest setting on this bike is very difficult. Yes, I can ride on the highest setting for a few minutes but then my legs will start to burn as if I am riding up a mountain. The display is clear and easy to read. It has easy to read time, distance, calories burned, and heart rate monitor. You have to put your thumb on the display to get a reading. The heart rate monitor works ok but is not the best way for getting an accurate reading. As far as the seat, it is like a standard bike seat. Its soft if you are used to riding a bike but hard if you have not been on a bike for more than 5 years. The bike is very quiet and can be ridden without disturbing others. I watch tv next to my wife while riding the bike. It is a great bike for someone who wants to loose some extra weight or strengthen their heart. I live in San Francisco and dont have the luxury of a safe trail or road to ride on, there are too many cars around. This bike is a great way to keep me sweating during the winter and when I feel I need to release some energy. Overall, its a simple bike but works great and feels sturdy. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a no thrills stationary bike. I tested other stationary bikes at department stores and found this bike to be just as good but at a fraction of the cost. As far as the negative review, I'm not sure why? Maybe the seat was not adjusted correctly to their height or the package got damaged during shipping. My stationary bike arrived just fine and took me 15 minutes to setup with some basic tools.
