I bought this appliance because I need it for for cooking food that I like and I don't have to use an oven or stove top.  It's an excellent source for preserving food in ln bigger amounts because it has alot of room.  It can feed up to 10 people if thats you purpose.  I like to store leftovers and have some later for a quick meal.  I like to cook chicken soup, beef stew and chili concarne, some of my favorite dishes.  How about and italian dish meatballs with sauce, just add those spices while cooking,and I usually can get a good recipe off the internet for different meals.  A heck of a way...

i dont normally write reviews, but i have had mine for many years and it is getting old, i love to cook roast beef, pork in it. falls apart. my kids love it. when my son was younger and i had a roast, he asked a few days later if i could make another for that nights dinner, i told him that it takes a little longer than a few minutes to cook and wouldnt be ready for dinner. he was disappointed. i also have been looking for a new one. i am planning on buying one for my son (who is 22 & on his own & learning to cook) i know he will be making alot of roast with it. i will also have to get one for my...

I am writing about the "WEST BEND OBLONG SLOW-COOKER".

OK let me tell you a little about myself.  I work full time, take care of my mmomma, and I am constantly training for a walk-a-thon for any and all that come up.  As of right now I am training for the 3 day for breast cancer. (60) mile walk.  I have always been busy.  Sis got me this very crock pot when I was in my early 20's when I first got married.  I used it so much I burnt it out.  I had went out and got 2 more of the same.  They are burnt out as well.  I moved (military) and never could find it.  I FOUND IT AGAIN!!!!  I am sooooo...
