Pros: No installation required, works in kitchens where a conventional dishwasher won't fit
Cons: Slightly louder than conventional dishwashers when draining, no choices in color (black or white only)

- Too many dishes to do on a daily basis.
- Looking to save time.
- Needed some additional counter space
- Do not have the ability to install an "under the counter" appliance.

OUR FIRST EVER BIG APPLIANCE WAS 14 YEARS AGO FOR OUR WHIRLPOOL PORTABLE DISHWASHER. IT STARTED OUT IN OUR RENTED APARTMENT AND THAT SAME DISHWASHER FOLLOWED US TO OUR CURRENT RESIDENCE/OLDER HOME WHICH DID NOT COME WITH A DISHWASHER. THAT SAME DISHWASHER IS 14 YEARS OLD AND STILL RUNNING!! IT ONLY REQUIRED 1 SERVICE CALL IN THE ENTIRE 14 YEARS THAT WE HAVE OWNED IT -WHICH WAS IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS-FOOD CAUGHT UP INSIDE-JAMMED THE HOSE-HOWEVER IT HAS RUN SUCCESSFULLY FOR THE LAST 14 YEARS EVER SINCE WITH NO MAINTENANCE, NO PARTS BROKEN OR NEEDED, AND NO SERVICE CALLS!! Once delivered, I was able to run my first load of dishes in less than 20 minutes! Set-up was simple, and the wash quality was great! I also enjoyed the 'portable island' provided by the butcher block top. My kitchen is extremely small, preventing a built-in dishwasher. So, this gave me the dishwasher I needed along with extra 'counter' space. A little noisy, but what do you expect... it's not hidden in under a counter! Highly recommended!
I love this dishwasher. I have an old kitchen & won't be remodeling anytime soon so it is nice to have a portable dishwasher.....
My Whirlpool portable dishwasher is the best. It cleans my dishes very well, anything that is placed on the top rack do not dry completely, that is the only problem that I find.
I purchased this diswasher three years ago 8/05. This machine has worked wonderful. The machine works flawlessly. The dishes come out very clean.
I have only had one problem. Soon after I purchased it the drain hose inside the machine was kinked. Sears repaired it with no charge or hastle.
I bought this dishwasher in Nov 06
and it has been a lemon since the first time I used it. To start out with it was one of those with the warped tub which was replaced but still it does not clean my dishes without my prewashing them. I would say that since I have got it, it has cleaned a whole load maybe 5 times. I would not recommend a Whirlpool dishwasher to anyone.
I love the ease of pushing the dishwasher around my kitchen and how well it cleans all my dishes. I think I should've gotten a bigger one, though.
