Very Happy (So far)!

I have been impressed with the even baking and ease of use and cleaning for this oven. Everything has been very evenly and perfectly baked. I bought this model specifically because it had the most interior room for the 24" width of models I looked at. Even using two 19" wide baking sheets, the air circulation... read full review »

I have a 4 yr old whirlpool double oven. All of a sudden it stopped working. I was told the control panel needed to be replaced costing 375.00 for part alone. I wouldn't recommend this appliance. I called Whirlpool and they said that due to the age of the appliance they couldn't offer any assistance.... read full review »

Whirlpool 24" Double Electric Wall Oven w... Reviews

I bought a very expensive home with "top of the line" Whirlpool Gold double wall oven. Less than five years old the control panel burned out. Evidently, a very common problem. Evidently, Sears couldn't care less. This product should be recalled.

Whirlpool Double -oven

I also have a Whirlpool double-oven with Accubake which is 7 years old. The control panel has quit and is no longer available for replacement. The oven I had before this one was 24 years old and was still working perfectly. I replaced it because I was changing color of appliances. I wrote to Whirlpool and told them how angry I was and much to my surprise and shock they wrote me back and offered a 15% reimbursement if I purchased a Whirlpool, Kitchen-Aid, Maytag or Jenn-Air product in 90 days. I don't think I am going to take them up on it as I believe their products are unreliable.

Poor Quality

I would definately recommend NOT purchasing a Whirlpool oven with electronic control. In less than 3 years (but after the warranty has expired), the control panel has failed. This is a $360 repair from Whirlpool's recommended service company ... I am purchasing the part and plan to install myself for $175,but still -- ridiculous! The interesting note is that an applicance technician I spoke to on the phone indicated that he had seen 'lots of these fail' and could "change out a control board on a Whirlpool oven with his eyes closed." Buy something else!!!!!!!

Whirlpool Double Ovens

We have a 9 year old Whirlpool RBD275PDQ6 double electric oven with the Accubake digital controls and upper self-clean oven. It has been reliable so I give it 3 stars. Our biggest gripe with it is the noisy cooling fan that runs the moment the oven is turned on and runs long after the oven is turned off until the interior is totally cooled down. The fan is an irritating sound that spoils the experience of being in the kitchen. They should have noise ratings for these ovens because this one is obnoxious and we would like to replace it with a quiet one.

Control Panel Breaks

Had the oven 4 years and paid over $1,000 for it. Panel just stopped working. My old oven lasted 30 years. This oven is a stinker and a sinker. Avoid it or you will be buying  a new one in 4-5 years. Can I give the review negative stars???

Electronic Display Failure

I have had to had the electronic display replaced 3 times. THis is ridiculous, especially for a Whirlpool product.; now it just died on me and I may have to replace the whole oven!

I purchased model RBD245PDS12 and the electronic controls have failed for the third time. Parts have been on order since 4/12/07.
