Whirlpool 24 in. Portable Dishwasher
Completely unexpected from a Whirlpool product. A lightly-used product and well-maintained and cared for item in the kitchen has now caused significant pain and suffering. No more warranty and with once per week use (or less) in the last 18 months, it's now puking - thank heaven's I didn't leave for an hour or so while it was on!
Hard to reccommend this under current emotional let-down.
Whirlpool 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Adaptive Wash
Put it in myself as I used to install DWs for Sears when I was in college. The taller tub makes for tighter working area underneath. Had difficulty keeping copper pipe aligned right. Directions suggested taping the lines (water, electric and drain) down to the floor and that's a good idea.
The controls are good, nice having a finished indicator light. Not noisy at all. We fooled with the silverware rack for a while trying each of the three locations. We settled on the side of the bottom drawer/rack with the purple "doors" down. This lets us put the utensils in with the food end up. Allows for...
review »Whirlpool 4.0 cu. ft. I.E.C. Super Capacity Plus Top-Load Washer
I have been looking for the last two months and finally settled on this washer based on the reviews here. I was satisfied with the features, yet concerned about not having control of the water level. It was delivered yesterday and I have run a few loads with it. First and foremost, this think is LOUD. Everything works correctly, it is leveled properly and the spin cycle is not the issue. (Spin is actually the quietest cycle.) It sounds like there was no effort made whatsoever to insulate or reduce the noise in any way. The switches between each cycle are very loud and...

review »Whirlpool Duet HT 4.0 I.E.C. cu. ft. Ultra Capacity Plus Front-Load Washer
We've had our Duet for a little over two years and were just told today that the bearing is shot and the repair would cost over $800. Fortunately, we have a home warranty and its covered but if not, we would be out that much money. The washer did an average job on our clothes. It took a while for me to figure out how to get rid of the funky mildew smell (had to run bleach in the cleaning cycle once a month and only used powder HE detergent) but once I did, I never had the smell problem again. The machine never impressed me and I would not buy another.
Whirlpool 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Soak & Scour
We have had several dishwashers in the last 20 years. We even had a Whirlpool one that was the basic model and it was just ok. I was hesitant to buy this one, because of the bad review about storage and cleaning. Wow, was I suprised! This dishwasher is HUGE, so much bigger than our last Whirlpool. The cleaning is awesome, I even put 2 day old caked on dishes, pans, and silverware to see how well the soak and scour worked. Every dish and piece of silverware was spotless. The dishwasher also goes almost to the floor so you get a additional 5 inches inside so even super tall pans and cups fit. I would...
