Good product, goood price

I bought the Whirlpool Duet Sport in January 2008 and I could not be happier. The clothes come out really clean, and the machine is pretty quiet. I have it on the second floor next to a bedroom and it does not bother anyone. I am the type of person that does not end up using all the "bells and whistles,"... read full review »

Bearings Shot, Leaks

We loved this washer when we got it. It's easy to use and super quiet. Problem was it began to make a scraping sound in month 13. Called for repair and had entire tub and inner/outer bearings replaced by Whirlpool techs. That lasted 1 month then tub began to spin off-balance with a loud knocking sound... read full review »

AVOID THIS PRODUCT

I bought this washer about 4 months ago. It took 3 service visits to stop leaking, and then the motor controller died. Even one of the service techs told me that Whirlpool products were not made with the quality they still charge you for. I am very disappointed that I paid so much for a washer that has cost me 3 days out of work to babysit technicians in 4 months. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

If you don't have a front loading washer, get one. You're clothes will be much cleaner, and you will save on your water bill too! We can wash all our washable KING size bedspreads in this! It' great!

Not what I had hoped for

Thought a front loader would be better than the top loader (it looks better), but experienced problems with it being "off balance" with my very first load. Since the load only consisted of 1 set of twin sheets, I was shocked to hear something like a freight train running through the laundry room. I understand that a front loader spins faster than the top loader (at least that is what the repair man told me), but the sound and vibration was beyond anything I have experienced. I am told that the problem was solely due to the clothes being off balanced, so I am worried about when I have to wash a... read full review »

frustration

I have used the front load washers for several years. After we moved, our Kenmore that we LOVED was damaged and I was talked into replacing it with the whirlpool. What a mistake. It gets mildew in the rubber ring that is ridiculous to clean and smells horrible (this washer is one year old.) This NEVER happened with my Kenmore with several years of use. When washing towels or one set of queen sheets, it frequently leaves them dripping wet after "completing" a wash cycle and you need to do and extra drain/spin cycle. Not to mention that it has now leaked twice all over my laundry room. I'm so mad... read full review »

What a pain

So, we bought this about 8 months ago. Make sure you get the top of the line warranty! They installed it at 2pm, by 2pm the next day, it was back on the truck and they were installing another one. Constant F20 fault, good thing Sears has plenty of these 'eh! So, it ran good for 3 days, then the F20 started showing up. First mechanic said we were using too much soap, 1tbsp he said. So, we started doing that. Well, F20 kept coming up, so, he said we needed to wash our machine with vinegar, and the wash machine cycle. Did that, it actually went to F20 during the cleaning cycle! So, here we are 8 months... read full review »

Excellent after 8 months of use

I brought the Duet Sport washer + dryer last year at Nov. After 8 months of usage I am still happy with it - reliable and trouble free (no water leak, malfunction, etc.). I do notice that there is more wrinkle, and i guess it's due to the strong high-speed spin from washer. All in all, I am very satisfy with this pair of appliances

I'm extremely happy with this set of washer and Dryer. So far no need to pre soap with anything and it gets cleaned on the 1st try. It's a energy saving product and it shows on my first wash. Happy Happy. Thank you Kenmore. And Sears, thank you for the sale. It was a great deal.
If you need a new set try Whirlpool Duet Sport HT 3.7 I.E.C. cu. ft. Ultra Capacity Front-Load Washer  you will be glad you did it. Thanks for reading blog.

Wow..what a disappointment

We have had this machine for 2 months and we have only been able to use it 6 times. After one week it started with error messages. It appears the motor filled with water which come to find out is not the first time this has happened with this machine. Got it fixed after a month of waiting, used it 4 times and got the error codes again not to metion the burning smell. HUGE disappointment. So here we are again, without a machine. Please, do not buy this machine. Save yourself the trouble and choose another brand!

Not Bad

Washer does use less water which doesnt change the fact that my apartment pays water but in the long run will save money. Prudoct washes cloths with out tearing towles so we bought new ones lol the only problem I encountered was that my 1 year old daughters socks were sliped under the the door and plastic piece during rotation then somehow showed up under the plastic piece needless to say it was easy to retrieve but may not be sutible for childrens socks will see what happends next this is my third load
