I was surprised at how little water they really use. Before buying these I had been lugging everything to a laundrymat. Not only do they use very little water but they do a better job than  the machines at the laundrymat or my old one did. For a household of 4 with 2 dogs our water bill for 3 months... read full review »

If Whirlpool has not redesigned the spider assy that holds the SPINNER BASKET, DO NOT BUY!!!  It will fail around the 5th year of operation. Sooner if you have hardwater, it is NOT covered under warranty and as of today you can NOT buy it with out the SPINNER BASKET. Big $$$    Google is your friend.......

We have a family of 6 and put this thing to the test weekly. You can fill the washer full of clothes and within minutes due to the rotation and water there is plenty of room for the clothes to bounce around and get clean. The steam cycle adds about an hour to the length of time, but its well worth it. It's never been easier to keep up on laundry. The 4.2 capacity washes king size comforters, and does a very good job. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

The whirpool washer and dryer set gives me the sensation of 100% clean clothes. When my old washer stop working i was completely stressed about what to get with the little money I had . I went to Sears and the employee asked me what I was looking for and within minutes i had fallen in love with the whirpool duet. I loved them so much that i decided to get the set instead of just a washer, and with the prices it was hard to say no. Before my kids soccer games i was always rushing to get their jerseys and equipment washed, but with the whirpool duet i just simply put them on quick wash and...

Fantastic

We were skeptical about washing our clothes with so little water being used, but the Duet is amazing. We already have seen a change in our electric and gas bill. The dryer is so economic. With all the buzz about going green (a phrase that's getting old and stale by the way), this set should make the environmentally conscious happy.

Maytag always means quality.

I always used to purchase Maytag Washers and Dryers. I had to stop buying them when they went out of my budget range. I love the looks of the new appliances but have to buy the less expensive ones. I wish they could be put  back into my price range.  The experiences I had with the Maytags is all good. They lasted at least 10 years or better. They performed very well.

Laundry, " Loads of Fun!"

We purchased both the Whirlpool Duet Sport washer and dryer. I chose not to stack them but you can. I love the way they look side by side. I really enjoy the washer because it provides a variety of wash settings. We are a family of five and my two year old obviously dirties the most clothes. The different settings allow me to wash for  as littles as 15 and as much as 85 minutes depending on the soil level. This flexibility is amazing because sometimes I need a few items refreshed and the 28 minute setting will do the job. I am in the process of purchasing the base for both items  in order to...

Able to wash a complete bed set in a single load!  Although the sheets get twisted, it is generally a good idea to shake everything out as you detangle it to load the dryer after washing.  This huge sized washer and dryer set is not only able to wash an entire sheet set at once, you can also fit an entire queen size comforter in the next load, thus saving you a trip to the laundry mat.

The claim in store is that you can wash up to 16 pairs of jeans at one time.  I wouldn't recommend it, as the jeans tend to twist up on each other and create a wet tangled mess.  Also, who wants to wait until...

Laundry is a snap

The Duet set is really a time saver.  The tub is so large it can hold a great deal of laundry.  The washer does a terrific job of cleaning the clothes.

I love the capacity. I can do huge loads and get lots of laundry done at once. I also love the height, since I am tall. I get height and as a bonus storage space from the stands. Only complaint is that he whole floor shakes when the dryer is spinning.

two out of three isn't bad

this washer works great on efficiency of water, elcticity, cleans well, and holds a nice large load BUT it actually makes more work for me. Because it doesn't go back and forth with agitation, itspins around and around tumbling clothes....and after the load is done, I have to unwind and unroll sleeves and towels and jean legs from each other BEFORE putting in dryer or my clothes will dry all twisted and come out twisted and wrinkled.  Less water, larger loads, more manual work....I haven't found a way to fix this yet.
