Best Thing to Happen to My Kitchen!

This microwave/hood can do so much, and is so easy to use! You can cook almost anything in it... To test it out, I baked a batch of cookies in it and they were some of the best I've ever had! I "fry" sausage in it every morning for my kids (a feature called "sizzle pan"), I've grilled chicken and burgers,... read full review »

Most Helpful Critical Review

In the 4 years that I had this oven it broke down twice, first still under warranty and the 2nd time, just after the warranty expired, the mother board broke down, the cost to repair... $600.00+; of course I am not nuts so I am now looking for a new microwave/convection oven with a better life span. They say...

Too Many Service Calls

I've had this microwave serviced twice under warranty with the same F7 error code being reported. I'm a bit concerned that this could continue to be a problem even after the warranty is expired. I love the microwave when it's working. I wouldn't get too excited over the convection feature since it can take 15 minutes to preheat. I would give the microwave 4 stars if it never had to be serviced.

Feature filled ... but ...

Sometimes when you pack in all the features, none work very well. Here the microwave seems to work well. The grill seems to work OK, but it's a light-heat grill and only 1500 watts, so it works, but not necessarily well. The convection oven works OK, but the heat up time seems ... well overly excessive to heat up. Not sure of the reason why. Wanted to bake a homemade pizza and chose to preheat, the oven estimated 16 minutes to preheat which is about enough time to get the pizza together, but then it held on 9 minutes left for about 20 minutes and seemed to not be heating up further. Here I just... read full review »

Problems, Problems, Problems

I have had to have this serviced THREE times since I purchased it a year and a half ago! Two of the calls were after warranty so this added about four hundred dollars to the price and three weeks of not being able to use it. It is a nice unit when it is working but I could not recommend this to anyone..

Velos Has Saved Dinnertime

We've owned our Whirlpool Velos for five months. The first couple of months I used it primarily as a microwave and tried out the convection oven feature for kicks a couple of times. I was very pleased with the performance. It wasn't until one night, in a rush with a hungry family to feed, that I discovered the true benefit of the Velos over a traditional microwave. In an effort to find the fastest way possible to cook chicken breasts, I tried the "sizzle pan" mode. Wow! In less than 15 minutes I had thorougly cooked (from frozen), juicy, tender chicken breasts ready to serve my hungry crew. This... read full review »

Great product/short info, no cookbook!

On it's category, I guess is (by far) the best deal you can get. I am very happy and so excited to explore new cooking horizons. I am VERY HAPPY... However, the product is not THAT perfect. I write this review so you won't feel disappointed and you can have some of the feedback of an experienced owner. The capacity is great, and looks SO neat and sleek. However, the users guide is very short and it is hard to figure out how to cook something not included in the preset options, unless you stick to the traditional ways and not taking full advantage of the speedcook new features. Basically you are... read full review »

Cooks food and controls satellites

This is perhaps the coolest an most feature-rich kitchen device I have seen. It is effectively a microwave, convection oven, and infrared grill. In addition to capabilities, the microhood encapsulates this functionality in an intuitive capacitive touchscreen interface with an LCD panel and shortcut buttons. Insofar as the interface, much thought was clearly put into its design. Cooking pre-sets for most foods are accessed via many routes on the display, making it easy to use regardless of how you might think the menu should be organized. The beauty of the pre-sets here is that they combine all... read full review »

The oven that does everything

This oven was a great replacement for my old stove top double oven that whirlpool used to make. We had waited so long to not get rid of that ancient oven because I had so much flexibility in having two ovens. Well, I found the replacement and gained counter space at the same time by getting rid my microwave off the counter. This oven is so easy to use with the push buttons and also uses a sensor to cook all food so that its not too hot or too cold. No use of approximate time is needed. It cooks, steams, broils, bakes and microwaves to perfection. I purchased the GE profile stove to match and it... read full review »

The best thing since slice bread!

Can't believe what this can do. It is just the best! I have had it for 3 weeks now and have steamed veggies perfectly, used convection oven several times for angel food cake, cookies, and a casserole. All turned out perfect. Easy to clean, looks great! The fan if great too has several speeds to use and works great. I am so glad I found it. I have had several microwaves in the last 39 years due to building new homes but this is just amazing even I can figure it out at the age of 58. There is so much I have not tried yet. I will keep you posted. Nana

Better Than Expected

I thought the other reviewers may have been exaggerating a bit, but they were not. This is very nice and easy to use. It is the first appliance my husband has ever taken the time to compliment. You cannot miss the 4 in. x 2 in instruction pad. When in clock status, the background color is a really pretty dark lavendar and the large numbers are white, but when you need to use it the background is white and the writing is black. Very easy to see and use. Mine is all black. It's easy to clean and the fingerprints are not a big problem. Be careful when installing it, because it can be scratched. My... read full review »
