This cornice is lovely, but hanging it is not a one-person job. Even though it is not heavy, its length makes it awkward and clumsy to work with, making it necessary for at least 1 other person to help.
There should be a bracket running length-wise to make installation easier. The instructions that come with it shows this bracket, but the cornice does not have one. There are, however, two plastic strips that are used to hold down the fabric on the underside. The hardware for hanging has to be forced into these strips, and I do mean FORCED. This is another reason it takes more than one person to install.
The fabric is not neatly trimmed on the reverse side and this makes sloppy workmanship. The plastic inserts on both ends kept falling out. This item is not worth the $114 price tag.
