I bought 3 strings of these lights last year and have 6 replacement bulbs. I had to use 5 already this year since some of the bulbs failed. I was told yesterday by a Sears employee that these LED bulbs should last a very long time, if fact several holiday seasons. They fail because of rust and who knows...

My wife says they're bright and pretty and I agree. And, since they save more than 90% on electric costs, they will quickly pay for themselves in savings. The colors are richer than with incandescent bulbs. I wouldn't mix the two types. They just survived a season of rain and high wind, We'll see what happens next year.
