“Luggage car top carrier”

Good product if you need a little extra storage. Not suitable for hard bags but you can stuff lots of soft duffle bags and even carry some long stuff in it. CAUTION.. if installing on a mini-van or tall SUV be sure to check clearance if you intend to park in a garage. Mounting is not to difficult however, the fasteners on the hinge side are difficult to reach. You will need a ladder to secure the latches. The unit is firm once attached to the vehicle but doesn't open very wide so thick items are difficult to put in it. With lots of study, trial and error I was able to come up with an improved way to install the unit on a tall van assuring proper alignments but still had to resort to using a step-ladder to attach to the factory luggage rack. Compared to products by other manufactures, the price of this unit is more economical for what it is intended to be. I recommend it for general storage and the sleek appearace..X-Cargo X-Treme Car Top Carrier
