“Good community if you don't mind some snide comments”

MANY duplicate questions, Rude people

Yahoo! Answers — 

Yahoo Answers is a very large community where users can go to ask questions or to answer other people's questions. The majority of people on Answers are friendly and helpful, but occassionally you will get rude comments or down right profane answers. And although you can report inappropriate answers and questions it often takes a long time of the administrators/moderators to remove them and/or reprimand the trouble-maker.

But overall you can get good, quick answers to your questions on anything: cooking, pregnancy, computers, kids, animals, etc.

Hi jillwv I have checked out the Answer Community by Yahoo on occasion and found it to be rather what you are saying here in your review. I don't know...I do feel that this could be a much better place, if only Yahoo would perhaps monitor this site more often? It seems some individuals might be a little immature? Therefore, things do get out of hand sometimes. I have noticed at times people getting a bit rude and this could be due to common respect for others. When problems such as this pop up on places like Yahoo (it's really too bad) because they will one day surprise them all and drop this feature. If it isn't working this sooner or later happens! I do think this is a very good idea for a community and any well operated Question & Answer website should certainly be successful. ~Keep Smiling, Angel~
