I purchased a 42" plasma and needed a nice, new stand to go with it. After looking at dozens of stands of all kinds and styles I realized that all of them are very heavy and require assembly. What drew me to this stand were its cleans lines and relatively light weight, if 70 lbs in the box is light. Most of the weight is the three glass shelves. I am an older person and this is a lot of weight for me. I found assembly and cleanup took about an hour and half. I am careful to read and follow the instructions. They were fairly clear and all the bolts and bits came packaged and marked "A", "B", "C"...

I purchased this stand a month ago and am very happy. It is very sturdy, the shelf heights are perfect, and it was not difficult to assemble. The dark tempered glass is really nice. I set the stand in a corner with a 42" lcd tv mounted above it. Looks great!
