“Washer died after 3 years- Sears service is BAD!”

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer lasted not quite 3 years. Control board (which was recalled anyway) died, touch pad didn't work reliably, loads went out of balance easily. Service tech has been here 4 times, still not fixed. Washer has been dead for nearly 3 weeks--Sears service keeps ordering parts, which take days to arrive, tech shows up next day after that. Washer wasn't bad when it worked. Loved the capacity, hated the tangling. Sears service is worthless. Don't buy the service agreement.

I couldnt agree with you, $3600 for Sears HET elite series, within months the first service call, now 2 years and we are out another $350 to BUY an EXTended warranty because the piece of crap doesnt work again, I feel very ripped off by a cheap product that Sears pushes, even the repair men say they have more problems with those washers and they are made to fail!
Sears should be investigated!!! just look at all of the posts regarding the same things, thousands?? where is our government protection agency against such consumer fraud?
